Title:
Senior Controls & Automation EngineerSalary:
$130,000 - $150,000 + 5% bonus
Location:
Huntington Beach, CA (On-Site)
Requirements:
Project Leadership/Managment; PLC/HMI Programming, Robotics, manufacturing experiencePosition OverviewJoin a leading manufacturer investing heavily in automation, robotics, and advanced manufacturing technologies. This role will lead automation projects from concept through implementation, driving improvements in productivity, quality, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience with industrial automation, robotics, PLC programming, and project leadership within a manufacturing environment.

What You Will Be DoingLead automation projects from design through deploymentProgram and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, robotics, and motion control systemsSupport the integration of new automated manufacturing equipmentTroubleshoot complex automation and controls issuesImprove production processes, efficiency, and equipment reliabilityDevelop and maintain electrical schematics and technical documentationDesign and support electrical control panelsValidate automation systems and ensure compliance with safety and quality standardsCoordinate with vendors, suppliers, and internal engineering teamsProvide technical leadership and training to operations and maintenance personnelAnalyze production data and implement continuous improvement initiativesTravel to manufacturing facilities and suppliers as neededWhat You Need for This PositionBachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Automation, Industrial Engineering, or related field8+ years of manufacturing engineering or automation experienceExperience leading automation projects in a manufacturing environmentStrong PLC programming and troubleshooting experienceHMI programming and controls troubleshooting experienceExperience with robotics, including Star Automation, Yushin, and/or 6-axis robotsExperience with servo systems, stepper motors, and motion controlAbility to create and troubleshoot electrical schematics and control systemsAutoCAD and/or SolidWorks experienceKnowledge of pneumatic and electro-pneumatic systemsAbility to manage multiple projects and prioritiesPreferred QualificationsInjection molding manufacturing experienceSCADA system experienceDatabase experienceGD&T knowledgeExperience with automated equipment design and integrationInternational vendor or multi-site manufacturing support experienceBenefits$130,000 - $150,000 + 5% bonusComprehensive Benefits Package401(k)Paid Time OffCareer Growth Opportunities
