Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Lead and execute multiple capital projects from concept through startup and closeout. Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and execution strategies. Partner with plant and corporate stakeholders to establish project objectives. Support equipment specification, selection, and procurement activities. Manage vendor relationships and contractor performance. Oversee construction execution activities. Coordinate commissioning and startup efforts. Ensure complete and accurate project documentation. Maintain compliance with FDA, GMP, LACF, food safety, EHS, and applicable regulations. Troubleshoot technical and operational issues during implementation. Support site assessments and long-range capital planning initiatives. Develop engineering strategies aligned with operational objectives. Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, FSQ, EHS, Procurement, Finance, and external partners.
Qualifications Needed:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum 4 years of capital project experience within manufacturing environments. Experience managing projects up to $10MM across multiple disciplines. Experience supporting projects from concept through commissioning and startup. Strong background in FDA-regulated food or beverage manufacturing environments. Working knowledge of GMP requirements and manufacturing safety standards. Basic AutoCAD proficiency. Proven ability to manage vendors, contractors, timelines, and project budgets. Strong technical problem-solving and project leadership capabilities.
Preferred:
Experience within low-acid aseptic manufacturing environments. CMMS experience (Infor/Hexagon EAM preferred). PE License. PMP Certification. Knowledge of facilities, utilities, and energy systems engineering.
