Full Time Our Client is seeking a hands?on Automation Engineer to support manufacturing operations by ensuring the reliability and optimization of automated control systems. This role focuses on troubleshooting, continuous improvement, and implementing enhancements across automation platforms while supporting operational efficiency, compliance, and production goals. The position requires flexibility to work a weekend swing shift and operate within a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
Work Schedule Saturday & Sunday:
10:00 AM - 10:30 PM Plus two additional weekday shifts (typically 8 hours each) Flexible weekday scheduling based on operational requirements What You'll Be Doing Automation & Manufacturing Support Monitor and maintain automated systems to ensure continuous and efficient production flow Troubleshoot control system and equipment issues that may impact operations Collaborate with internal and external support teams to resolve complex system challenges Process Improvement & Optimization Identify recurring system issues and implement sustainable solutions to minimize disruptions Lead small?scale improvement initiatives focused on automation systems and production processes Contribute to operational goals related to safety, quality, compliance, and efficiency System Configuration & Validation Participate in system updates and changes across platforms such as control systems, process automation tools, and building systems Support testing, commissioning, and validation activities for system enhancements Assist in protocol development and execution for system modifications Documentation & Training Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) aligned with system changes Ensure documentation accurately reflects current processes and system configurations Train manufacturing teams on system usage and best practices for interacting with automation systems Compliance & Quality Manage and close corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) related to automation and system performance Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards in a controlled manufacturing environment What You'll Bring Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field Exposure to manufacturing environments, automation, or control systems Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem?solving skills Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly across teams Preferred Skills & Experience Familiarity with automation platforms such as DeltaV, PLC systems (e.g., Siemens or Rockwell), MES, or building automation systems Experience in regulated industries such as pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, or food production Experience supporting manufacturing operations in fast?paced environments Knowledge of technical documentation practices and system workflows Work Environment Significant time spent in manufacturing and operational areas Work in controlled environments, including cleanrooms and temperature?regulated spaces Use of protective equipment and adherence to strict safety and compliance requirements Exposure to industrial conditions, including noise, chemicals, and physical movement Key Competencies Automation & Controls Engineering Troubleshooting & Root Cause Analysis Process Improvement & Optimization Compliance & Documentation Collaboration & Communication
