What to Expect
Tesla is seeking a Staff Manufacturing Engineer to spearhead process development for Optimus humanoid robot hands, one of the most complex and critical subsystems in the robot. In this role you will collaborate with Design, Manufacturing Automation, and Production teams to optimize designs for manufacturability, and develop innovative manufacturing processes that will enable high volume production. What You'll Do
Lead early-stage prototyping of new manufacturing processes for robotic hand assemblies
Develop novel processes and equipment concepts that enable step-change improvements in production
Define and validate critical process parameters for entirely new assembly methods
Collaborate with Design teams to co-develop manufacturable new hand architectures
Create and iterate on process recipes, fixtures and test methods in rapid prototyping cycles
Identify and solve fundamental manufacturing constraints to unlock new design possibilities
Document and transfer new processes from prototype to pilot production What You'll Bring

Expected Compensation
$156,000 - $276,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
