Job Description

Entry Level Design Engineer Position Summary At BENEN, we believe great design creates lasting impact. As a Design Engineer, you will work alongside experienced engineers, planners, and project managers to help deliver innovative infrastructure and development solutions for our clients and communities. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer looking to build technical knowledge, gain hands-on project experience, and grow within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. Essential Responsibilities Support the planning, design, and production of engineering projects under the guidance of licensed professionals and senior staff. Prepare plans, quantities, cost estimates, engineering calculations, drawings, reports, and other project deliverables. Assist with the development and coordination of project designs across disciplines. Apply engineering standards, company procedures, and client requirements to assigned tasks. Participate in internal meetings, collaborate with project teams to advance project goals, and assist with client interactions and technical support as directed. Communicate progress, challenges, and recommendations with project managers and team members. Help troubleshoot design and technical issues while developing practical solutions. Manage multiple assignments and priorities while meeting project schedules and quality expectations. Continue professional development through training, certifications, and mentorship opportunities. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university. 0-2 years of relevant engineering experience. Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred. Working knowledge of engineering principles, standards, and design practices. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroStation. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment, demonstrating accountability, initiative, and a strong desire to learn.
