Job Description

About Infi Robotics Infi's mission is to build a general-purpose fully autonomous factory to unlock physical abundance and reindustrialize America. We are a robotics-native contract manufacturer helping hardware companies take their products from prototype to production at our factory in the San Francisco Bay Area. Our initial focus is automated assembly for robots, drones, and other intelligent hardware. The role Turn customer designs into production processes that people and robots can execute consistently. You will work from CAD, drawings, bills of materials, and early prototypes to define how a product gets assembled, inspected, tested, and delivered.
This is hands-on manufacturing engineering:
you will be at the bench for early builds and use what they teach you to improve the process. What you'll do Turn customer CAD, drawings, and bills of materials into executable build plans, identifying design, assembly, and supply constraints early. Create work instructions, fixtures, tooling, inspection criteria, and functional tests for electromechanical products. Lead first-article and pilot builds with technicians, troubleshoot defects, and keep instructions and build records aligned with design revisions. Improve build time, yield, and rework using measured results. Provide realistic quoting inputs and define repeatable assembly steps for the robotics team to automate. What you'll bring Experience taking electromechanical hardware from prototype into production, with hands-on ownership of assembly processes and quality decisions. Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, electrical diagrams, CAD models, and bills of materials, plus practical CAD and fixture-design skills. Clear work-instruction writing and disciplined root-cause analysis, inspection, revision control, and build documentation. Comfort troubleshooting at the bench and working across teams. Harnesses, box builds, PCBA integration, contract manufacturing, NPI, IPC standards, and manufacturing systems are useful additional experience.
