Full Job Description Summary:
Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for all aspects of the engineering department. This includes coordinating with the Drafting Lead, CNC Programmers and Planners.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Will be responsible for creating/reviewing process planning Will be responsible for supporting design and development of tools and fixtures Will be responsible for interfacing with shop personnel to oversee shop flow, maximizing production, preventing bottlenecks, etc. Will be responsible for interfacing with the Process Improvement Team (PIT) to provide solutions to manufacturing problems. Will support compliance and quality activities by looking for defect trends, learning about quality issues and providing information to shop personnel. Will participate in lean manufacturing activities to improve product quality and productivity. Will provide strong technical leadership by assisting others in troubleshooting, answering questions and assessing/developing methods to improve manufacturability of products. Will provide consistent, timely communication with management. Will create process flow charts, department status reports, employee training materials, equipment evaluation reports Will develop and generate machine times via time study, observation, and time tracking.
