Full Job Description Senior Manufacturing Engineer Location:
Littleton, Colorado Compensation:
$110,000 - $135,000 Base Salary (DOE) Contract to Hire A rapidly growing aerospace manufacturer is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to support the development, production, integration, and testing of advanced spacecraft and propulsion systems. This individual will serve as a key liaison between engineering, production, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure products move efficiently from design through final delivery. This is a highly visible, hands-on role that offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge aerospace technologies within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Serve as the manufacturing owner for components and products across multiple aerospace programs. Drive manufacturing process improvements, standardization efforts, and production scaling initiatives. Partner with production teams to improve quality, yield, throughput, and overall manufacturing efficiency. Support assembly, integration, and testing activities for spacecraft and propulsion systems. Participate in non-conformance investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action activities. Develop manufacturing plans, production travelers, work instructions, and standard operating procedures. Design and implement tooling, fixtures, and assembly aids to support production. Work directly with technicians and production personnel to troubleshoot manufacturing challenges. Support design reviews and provide manufacturing feedback throughout the product lifecycle. Collaborate with procurement, supply chain, and quality teams to ensure materials and products meet program requirements. Mentor technicians and provide technical leadership on the production floor. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related discipline. 5+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience in a production environment. Experience supporting manufacturing operations from product introduction through production. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement. Experience working directly with technicians and production teams. Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. Must be eligible to work in the United States and meet applicable export control requirements. Preferred Qualifications Aerospace, spacecraft, defense, or other highly regulated manufacturing experience. Experience with non-conformance resolution and MRB processes. Background in design engineering or product development. Experience supporting assembly, integration, and testing activities. ERP experience such as Costpoint, NetSuite, SAP, or similar systems. Experience scaling manufacturing operations in a high-growth environment. Work Environment Hands-on manufacturing role with significant time spent on the production floor. Cleanroom and advanced assembly environments. Direct interaction with technicians, engineers, and production leadership. Standard Monday-Friday, first-shift schedule. Why Consider This Opportunity? Compensation:
