Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and innovative Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and a passion for continuous improvement in manufacturing processes. This role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing systems to enhance productivity, efficiency, and quality. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that production goals are met while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
POSITION INFORMATION
Responsibilities include developing and maintaining accurate processes of a variety of aerospace and commercial products. Duties include technical leadership for metallic and / or non-metallic projects to include mechanical or bonded assemblies. Performs support functions with respect to established policies, procedures and methods, recommending changes to improve product quality, reduce costs, improve product flow lines.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides technical support to sales and marketing team.
- Works to expand AGC's market share in aerospace product, through a variety of means such as customer technical presentations and sales calls.
- Reviews and analyzes proposals submitted to determine if the capacity and capability is available to meet customer requirements and benefits derived and possible applications justify expenditures.
- Maintains accurate and up to date manufacturing paper (
Eg:
operation sheets, BOM's etc.) for the production floor to manufacture end item products to meet customer delivery requirements.- Aid and help coordinate the activities of the engineering staff assigned.
- Ensures appropriate communication and interaction with production floor personnel in order that technical issues are addressed in a timely and complete manner. Supports non-conformance system for engineering disposition and root cause analysis and corrective action.
- Supports manufacturing supervisors and/or lead-hands on correct manufacturing methods.
- Assists tool room, when needed, on new tool and design fabrication and rework techniques.
- Ensures new tooling is designed and fabricated on time to produce product and meet customer delivery requirements.
- Confirms that root cause analyses and corrective action has eliminated source of failure.
- Assists estimating department with quoting of complex processes and tooling.
- Verifies that all AGC policies and procedures have been adhered to.
- Conducts a continuous search of new materials, processes, and procedures to enhance and improve the product lines. Prepares new equipment requests with justifications.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed and assigned by Management.
