Manufacturing EngineerJob Overview Turbo America Technology is seeking a motivated, analytical, and results-driven Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. We welcome both entry-level engineers and experienced manufacturing professionals who are passionate about improving manufacturing processes, increasing efficiency, and ensuring the production of high-quality precision components. The Manufacturing Engineer will work closely with production, quality, engineering, and management to develop and optimize manufacturing methods, implement process improvements, and support continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining compliance with

Quality Management System requirements. Position Purpose The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing, improving, and supporting manufacturing processes that ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective production while meeting customer specifications and company quality standards. This position plays a critical role in process optimization, problem solving, quality improvement, and production support. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, quality, and productivity. Create and maintain manufacturing work instructions, process documentation, setup sheets, and standard operating procedures. Analyze production workflows and recommend improvements to reduce waste, improve cycle times, and increase throughput. Support CNC machining operations by assisting with tooling selection, fixtures, process development, and production planning. Collaborate with programmers, machinists, quality personnel, and production supervisors to resolve manufacturing issues. Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and customer requirements. Participate in new product introduction (NPI), process validation, and first article inspections. Investigate production problems and implement corrective and preventive actions. Conduct root cause analysis using structured problem-solving techniques. Assist in designing fixtures, tooling, and manufacturing aids to improve production efficiency. Monitor manufacturing performance using production data and key performance indicators (KPIs). Support continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, and Kaizen principles. Ensure compliance with
ISO 9001
Quality Management System requirements and company procedures. Work with Quality to resolve nonconforming products and implement process improvements. Support equipment installation, validation, and process qualification. Assist with cost reduction initiatives and process optimization projects. Maintain accurate engineering documentation and revision control. Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Entry-Level Candidates Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline (or expected graduation). Internship, co-op, or project experience in manufacturing is preferred but not required. Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering principles. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. Eagerness to learn and grow in a manufacturing environment. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Experienced Candidates Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field. Two or more years of manufacturing engineering experience preferred. Experience supporting CNC machining, precision manufacturing, or metalworking operations. Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies. Ability to develop manufacturing processes, tooling, fixtures, and work instructions. Experience with ERP/MRP systems is preferred. Knowledge of GD&T and blueprint interpretation. Experience using CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar. Familiarity with CNC programming concepts and machining processes is preferred. Strong project management and organizational skills. Work Environment This position is performed in a combination of office and manufacturing environments. The Manufacturing Engineer will regularly interact with production personnel and manufacturing equipment while supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Exposure to machinery, metal chips, coolants, moderate noise levels, and changing production conditions is expected.
