Summary This Quality Engineer ensures the correct use of advanced quality planning and engineering to enhance quality, reliability and acceptance of system, processes and products. Provide a professional level of quality customer service to both internal and external customers/suppliers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Monitor the performance of the product quality and reliability systems. Generate and maintain accurate documentation relating to quality, reliability and process. Implement prevention/detection systems to eliminate problems that affect quality and reliability. Prepare and present PPM (parts per million) reports, cost of quality reports, Leadership Scorecard and other metrics reports. Develop and implement quality programs, including tracking, analyzing, reporting and problem solving. Accurately files all Quality paperwork (customer complaints, control plans, quality alerts, weekly logs, etc.) Take active part in training and helping others as required and participate in continuous improvement teams as required. Participate in pre-production activities as quality representative. Complete Quality System audits of supplier on-site, and follow-up audit and corrective action. Issue supplier non-conformance and follow-up corrective action, and problem solving with suppliers. Coordinate Management Review process Assist is supplier evaluations for on-site audits. Assist and provide support for Quality Assurance Manager. Qualifications, Education, Experience BS in Engineering or other technical discipline required. Minimum 3-5 years of experience working in the Quality Department in a manufacturing environment. Certified Quality Engineer preferred. Experience in the automotive or stamping industry preferred. Knowledge and experience with formal documentation systems and methods, particularly ISO 9001 and
IATF 16949.
