Insight Global is looking for a Design Engineer of Design Systems to sit at the intersection of design and engineering, translating design intent into a scalable, AI enabled, production-ready system. This person will partner closely with product designers, front-end developers, plus QA and compliance developers across organizations to ensure consistency, quality, and system integrity. You will contribute to building and maintaining a Design System MCP and other AI-enabled features. You will work in Figma, Gitlab, Storybook, Claude, Kiro, Applitools and adoption tracking tooling. The ideal candidate will have shared ownership in strategy and execution, and be responsible for hands-on delivery, system architecture, and strengthening the connection between design and engineering within the broader initiative. Skills and Requirements Must haves:

• Architect, build, and maintain a scalable design system and its tooling for web-based enterprise experiences
• Experience building MCP and downstream tooling
• Manage design token architecture, pipelines, and design tools (e.g., Figma variables) to production code
• Contribute to design system governance, including versioning, contribution models, documentation, and lifecycle management
• Partner with designers to translate design decisions into reusable, extensible component APIs
• Participate in design reviews to provide input on feasibility, scalability, and reuse
• Build performant, accessible, and maintainable UI components using modern front-end technologies
