Job Description The Process Industrialization Leader will play a critical role in ensuring the successful transfer, implementation, and scaling of manufacturing processes and technologies from lab scale to production volume. This position requires a strong understanding of manufacturing operations, process optimization, and project management. The Process Industrialization Leader will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless transitions, maintain high standards of safety and quality, and drive efficiency in scaling up production processes.
Key responsibilities include:
Safety and Compliance Ensure all transferred and scaled processes comply with safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental requirements. Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the organization. Process/Technology Transfer and Implementation Lead the transfer of manufacturing processes and technologies between facilities, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. Develop and execute detailed transfer plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies. Collaborate with engineering, operations, and quality teams to ensure processes meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC) standards Process Scaling and Optimization Drive the scaling of transferred processes to meet production volume requirements while maintaining safety and quality standards. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement lean manufacturing principles to optimize efficiency. Monitor and analyze process performance metrics, making data-driven decisions to enhance productivity. Cross-functional Collaboration Work closely with stakeholders across engineering, supply chain, operations, and quality teams to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables. Facilitate communication between sending and receiving locations to ensure knowledge transfer and training of personnel. Project Management Manage industrialization projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and objectives; synthesize and clearly communicate project status, key milestones, and performance metrics; Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation plans to address potential challenges during process transfer and scaling.Qualifications/requirements :
Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in manufacturing, industrialization, or process engineering roles) + minimum of 5 years of manufacturing, industrialization, or process engineering roles. Due to the nature of the duties of this position, this role requires the individual to obtain and maintainUS Government DoD Security Clearance Desired Characteristics:
Experience in aerospace or other highly regulated industries. Certification in Lean Six Sigma or similar methodologies. Proficiency in manufacturing software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, CAD software) Proven track record of successfully transferring and scaling manufacturing processes. Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles (e.g., Kaizen, Standard Work, Hoshin Kanri) and process optimization techniques. Excellent project management skills, with experience managing complex, cross-functional projects. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with proficiency in data analysis tools. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and locations.
