Job Description SummaryEngineering associated with the manufacturing process. Impacts departmental operations and responsible for planning/execution. The role has some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Some judgment may be required but this is typically with guidance.

Job DescriptionRoles and ResponsibilitiesDefine and control production process including tooling and equipment; Validate design specifications and shop floor application of new product, tools, or equipmentDevelop and maintain manufacturing methods to support the Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost prioritiesDeveloping in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline; Uses prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy/strategyIn-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own workIn-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the areaDevelop and maintain work instructions, implement standard work, and support training initiatives within the production line and cellMaintain and improve process documentation to ensure consistent and repeatable qualityLead high-impact process and quality improvement projects that improve First Pass Yield (FPY) and reduce Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ)Work cross-functionally with design engineering and logistics process owners to validate design specifications and shop floor application of new products, tools, and equipmentLead New Technology Initiatives (NTI) and share best practicesConduct cost/benefit analysis for changes to processes, tooling, and/or equipment - actively drive positive change to assembly and shipping processesDrive improvement by partnering with outside vendors to improve equipment/material costDefine cell capital expense (CAPEX) and operational expense (OPEX) needs and manage budgetUses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance; Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks; Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems; May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisionsIs an individual contributor with proven interpersonal skills; Provides informal guidance to new team membersParticipates regularly in Lean Kaizen events to support the Lean RoadmapRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university (or a high school diploma/GED and at least 6 years of manufacturing or operations experience)Minimum 3yrs of xp in a manufacturing environmentDesired CharacteristicsExperience with automated guided vehicles (AGV)Experience implementing AI in quality checksStrong oral and written communication skillsHigh attention to detail and organizationDemonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problemsEstablished project management skillsExperience with AutoCAD or similar CAD softwareExperience with product family ownershipExperience with new product introduction and process developmentDemonstrated knowledge and experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and toolsExperience reading and interpreting engineering specifications and drawingsDemonstrated leader and respectful team playerHands-on experience with implementing projects and sustaining process improvementsAbility to manage multiple projects/priorities and deliver timely actionsDemonstrated ability to effectively influence and motivate othersWillingness and ability to learn from others and listen with intent The base pay range for this position is $81.7K - $105K USD. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for bonuses, such as a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity. This position is expected to close on 3/7/2026, or thereafter.

The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas.
