Job Description

Chemical Engineer, Jr. Perry, FL Nammo Perry, Inc. Full Time 726998 Launch Your Career with Purpose. Nammo Perry, Inc. is a U.S. defense contractor and a member of the Nammo Group (Nammo AS). Nammo Perry develops, manufactures and specializes in propulsion and energetic material products for tactical missiles, rocket motors, and warheads. Nammo Perry is presently expanding operations and is looking for dedicated team members to assist with new start-up operations and program execution. We are currently seeking entry-level candidates for the position of Chemist or Chemical Engineer. This position will be based out of our Tallahassee office and will travel to Perry, FL facility as needed. You must be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (Requires U.S. Citizenship). What You'll Do:
Precision in Action The successful candidate will perform a variety of highly skilled and specialized duties that will include, but is not limited to:
Project Leadership & Execution:
 With help from senior chemists, you will lead propellant and pyrotechnic development, characterization and production activities
Technical Planning:
 Develop Statement of Work (SOW), technical approach and technical specifications to meet development and energetic materials production requirements. Works with tooling, safety, project and analysis engineers to implement fixtures, tooling and equipment.
Customer & Stakeholder Liaison:
 Act as technical interface with Senior Chemists and Internal customers, providing regular status reports, presentations, and technical briefings. Participate in design reviews.
Risk & Change Management:
 Identify program risks and opportunities associated with pyrotechnics, propellant and bondliner and develop mitigation plans. Performs Propellant Design for Manufacture/Design for Assembly (DFM/DFA) studies in coordination with Manufacturing, Analysis and Project Engineering.
Troubleshooting:
 Address and resolve technical challenges by analyzing reports of production, malfunction, and maintenance. What Dedicated Teammates Bring Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering with 0-2 years of relevant experience. Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office software: Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and Visio. Ability to maintain attention to detail under stress. Our Woking Conditions and Requirements Must be a US Citizen and be capable of holding a DoW Security Clearance (Dual citizens will not be considered) Ability to obtain BATF approval to work with our product Must submit to and pass a drug test pursuant to Company Drug-Free Workplace Policy which includes random testing Must be able to sit/stand for prolonged periods of time Must have stamina to work more than the scheduled workday when needed; including nights and weekends Our values are the fundamental principles guiding the way we do business and interact with stakeholders.
