JOB DESCRIPTION
Supports the sustaining engineering team focused on legacy production equipment Highly hands-on role centered on keeping machines running and supporting day-to-day manufacturing operations Role breakdown: ~75% reactive troubleshooting and ~25% process improvement Not project-heavy or design-focused - priority is quick problem identification and resolution Day-to-day responsibilities :

Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and PLC-related issues on semi-automated equipmen t
Breakdown:
~50% mechanical, 25% electrical, 25% PLC (troubleshooting only, no programming )Support 3-4 key automated machines, including :

Embedding machines (injecting detergent into sponge material )Packaging / flow wrap systems (cutting, wrapping, labeling )Pouching / forming equipmen tMultivac thermal forming and similar system sPartner with operators and technicians to identify daily output gap sPerform root cause analysis on downtime and performance issue sSupport process improvements and process change analysis (~monthly cadence )Assist with validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ) during new equipment installs (a few times per year )Ensure compliance within a regulated (FDA/ISO) manufacturing environmen t Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and educatio n. Required Skills & Experie nce:3-5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or engineering environ mentOpen to ~2 years if the candidate is highly hands-on and a quick lea rnerStrong mechanical troubleshooting experien ce (top prio r ity)Working knowledge of electrical systems and PLC troubleshoo tingExperience supporting production equipment uptime and reliabi lityAbility to perform root cause analysis in a fast-paced production set tingExperience working in a regulated environment (FDA, ISO, e tc.)Exposure to validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ) and related documenta tionStrong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally on the manufacturing f loorNice to Have Skills & Experie nce:

Experience in medical device manufactu ringFamiliarity with CAPA, non-conformance investigations, and quality sys temsExperience driving process improvements (uptime, efficiency, error-proof ing)Experience supporting automated packaging or forming equipment (Multivac prefer red)Experience mentoring or supporting technicians/opera tors
