Job Description

Job Title Senior Engineer Job Description The Senior Engineer position is a critical role requiring over 10 years of related experience and an accredited bachelor's degree. The successful candidate will be responsible for utilizing engineering processes, design criteria, and software applications to design and construct power-related systems. This role involves supporting estimate preparation, developing design options, and preparing construction specifications. Additionally, the position provides guidance, oversight, and quality assurance reviews for contractors as they develop design solutions, cost estimates, and construction packages. Responsibilities Create a safe work environment by prioritizing safety. Understand the processes used for planning, design, operation, construction, and maintenance. Comprehend the functions and activities of various internal departments involved in design, construction, and maintenance. Apply design practices and work processes effectively. Utilize all software applications used in design. Understand industry design standards. Support the development of design standards and criteria for the system. Assist construction and maintenance teams during day-to-day operations. Estimate materials required for projects. Transmit construction packages and supporting specifications. Essential Skills Advanced engineering knowledge. Advanced problem-solving skills. Ability to make independent decisions using discretion. Proficiency in advanced discipline-specific software. Strong work ethic and positive attitude. Ability to build effective relationships with plant staff, design engineering staff, and vendors. Additional Skills & Qualifications An accredited bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field. 10+ years of related experience. Work Environment The work environment involves collaboration with internal departments to ensure seamless design, construction, and maintenance processes. You will use a range of software applications specific to design engineering and work closely with contractors to ensure quality and adherence to design standards. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Baxley, GA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $75.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
