Job Description

Position Summary We are seeking a motivated Junior OSP Design Engineer to support the planning, design, permitting, and documentation of fiber optic infrastructure projects. This role works under senior engineering leadership and supports the development of construction drawings, permitting packages, GIS updates, and fiber network documentation. Required Qualifications 2-4 years of OSP Fiber Engineering or Telecom Design experience Bachelor's Degree (or higher) from an accredited college/university preferred Basic understanding of:
FTTH/FTTX
networks Underground and aerial fiber design Fiber optic infrastructure Experience with: AutoCAD GIS systems IQGeo, VETRO, or Vitruvi preferred Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to learn permitting and utility coordination processes Responsibilities Assist with OSP fiber network design and drafting Support creation of: Construction drawings Permit packages Fiber route exhibits Splicing diagrams Update GIS and records systems Review field notes and assist with as-built documentation Coordinate with permitting and CAD teams Support route planning and basic engineering calculations Assist senior engineers with project deliverables and QC revisions Participate in client and internal coordination meetings Maintain project documentation and file organization Preferred Experience Experience with telecom permitting Exposure to DOT and municipal permitting processes Knowledge of underground utility construction practices Familiarity with fiber splicing concepts and network architecture
Pay:
$25.00 - $27.00 per hour
