Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Mendix Technical Lead in Doraville, GA.Key Responsibilities:
Mendix Application Development:
- Design, develop, enhance, and support enterprise manufacturing applications using Siemens Mendix Studio Pro
- Develop complex domain models, microflows, nanoflows, workflows, business rules, application security, and reusable modules
- Develop custom Java actions and extensions when standard Mendix capabilities do not meet technical requirements
- Build responsive applications for production operators, supervisors, plant leadership, and enterprise users
- Perform peer code reviews, performance optimization, testing, and technical documentation
AIMMS/Manufacturing Execution Solutions:
- Develop and support AIMMS, the Company's Mendix-based manufacturing application platform
- Develop manufacturing workflows supporting production execution, quality, work-in-process, material movement, production performance, and shop-floor visibility
- Support operator-facing capabilities including barcode scanning, production transactions, Hour-by-Hour performance, production status, quality data, and manufacturing dashboards
- Troubleshoot complex application and integration issues affecting plant production and implement sustainable corrective solutions
Siemens Opcenter APS/Mendix Preactor Interface:
- Develop and support the Mendix Preactor Interface used to integrate manufacturing schedule data with Siemens Opcenter APS (formerly Preactor APS)
- Support data flows between ERP/OHM, AWS, Mendix, Siemens Opcenter APS, and downstream manufacturing applications
- Develop and maintain scheduling data processing and transformations using
XML, CSV, JSON, REST
APIs, and database interfaces- Support enrichment of production schedule data for manufacturing applications and troubleshoot schedule releases, interface failures, and downstream issues
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience
- Mendix Advanced Developer Certification or higher
- 7+ years of professional software development experience
- 5+ years of hands-on Mendix development experience building enterprise applications
- Demonstrated experience operating at a Senior/Advanced Mendix Developer level
- Strong hands-on expertise with Mendix Studio Pro, domain models, microflows/nanoflows, workflows, Mendix security, Java actions, REST APIs/web services, JSON/XML, SQL/PostgreSQL, and Git/GitHub
- Experience developing and supporting enterprise integrations and troubleshooting complex production applications
- Experience with Agile/Scrum software development and mentoring developers
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Experience developing or supporting Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) or manufacturing operations applications
- Experience with Siemens Opcenter APS (formerly Preactor APS) and integrations between APS, ERP, MES, or production scheduling systems
- Experience with AWS, particularly S3, Lambda, EC2, CloudWatch, and cloud-based application integrations
- Experience with Microsoft Azure and enterprise cloud integrations
- Experience with Kepware, OPC/OPC UA, PLC integration, Industrial IoT, scanners, RFID readers, printers, or automated production equipment
- Experience with PostgreSQL and advanced SQL development
- Experience with Java, JavaScript, C#, or .NET
- Experience with CI/CD, GitHub, automated deployment, and DevOps practices
- Experience with manufacturing analytics, Power BI, AI/Generative AI, or Agentic AI solutions
- Understanding of production scheduling, manufacturing workflows, Lean Manufacturing, and Continuous Improvement The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role.
