Manufacturing Engineer WEG Electric Corp - 3.0 Duluth, GA Job Details Full-time 8 hours ago Qualifications Mid-level 3 years Communication skills Full Job Description About the role: WEG has an excellent opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer in our Duluth office. The Manufacturing Engineer role for LV (Low Voltage) Electrical Panels involves providing technical assistance and engineering support to the manufacturing team. The role includes ensuring the production process is efficient, cost-effective, and meets quality standards. The position requires collaboration with Engineering (design), quality, and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues, optimize production processes, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities:
Works closely with Engineering teams to provide feedback on product design for manufacturing. Creates and maintains technical detailed documentation as technical specifications/drawings, Bills of Material, and troubleshooting procedures. Analyzes and improves panel design to enhance efficiency in production and cost reduction. Develops templates/poka-yokes for production to increase productivity and ensure quality. Provides technical assistance and support to the manufacturing team for the assembly, testing and packing of new and/or current LV electrical panels projects, including prototypes. Develops and updates standard operating procedures (SOPs) for production processes.
Education:
Bachelor's degree, Field of study required: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field. Knowledge/Training Strong Knowledge of electrical panel design, assembly and testing process Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Experience with SAP is a differential Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Strong communication and interpersonal skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
