Test Engineer - Contract to Hire A fast-growing, U.S.-based Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) provider is looking for a Test Engineer in Lilburn, GA. As our test capabilities continue to expand, we are seeking a hands-on Test Engineer who thrives on the manufacturing floor and plays a critical role in ensuring products meet functional, performance, and customer requirements. Shift of the
Test Engineer:
7:00am - 3:30pm; M-F; overtime and weekends as needed Salary of the
Test Engineer:
$65,000 - $80,000yr / DOE Responsibilities of the
Test Engineer:
Own and support production testing on the manufacturing floor (hands-on, not desk-only) Develop, program, and maintain flying probe test programs for PCB assemblies Create and execute functional test procedures, test plans, and test fixtures Support NPI, first article builds, and pilot runs from a test standpoint Troubleshoot test failures at the PCBA and system level, partnering with Quality, Process, and Manufacturing Engineering Analyze failures, perform root cause analysis, and drive corrective actions Ensure all test activities comply with customer drawings, specifications, and flowdowns Support customer audits, witness testing, and technical discussions related to test coverage Collect and analyze test data to improve yields and reduce escapes Support production during critical builds, line issues, and delivery commitments Environmental & Reliability Testing Willingness to learn and support Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) Assist with test setup, execution, data review, and documentation for ESS activities Requirements of the
Test Engineer:
5+ years of experience as a Test Engineer in EMS, electronics manufacturing, medical devices, or other regulated industries Flying probe test experience, including program creation and debug (required) Strong understanding of electronic circuit testing and failure analysis Ability to read and interpret schematics, BOMs, drawings, and test requirements Comfortable working hands-on on the production floor Strong troubleshooting and cross-functional communication skills Experience in
ISO 9001 / AS9100
