Job Description

Job Summary

Develops and implements manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, fabrication, and material handling. The work includes applying automation, robotics, computer-aided manufacturing software, model-based data environments, materials and automated processes, factory data, and equipment performance analysis to improve efficiency, cost, quality, production operations, and digital work instructions.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen Education & Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, Systems Engineering, or an applicable STEM degree
  • 5-8 years of experience in manufacturing engineering in aerospace, defense, or high-tech hardware
  • 5+ years of experience with Systems Engineering
  • Demonstrated ability to influence decisions without formal authority through technical leadership on design reviews and process improvement initiatives
  • Understanding of the Systems Engineering V Model, requirements flow-down, and verification and validation processes
  • Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals Preferred Skills
  • Master's degree or coursework in Model-Based Engineering (MBE) or Systems Engineering
  • 3+ years of experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Job Duties & Functions
  • Develop and implement manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, fabrication, and material handling
  • Drive adoption of new technologies and processes, including automation, robotics, and computer-aided manufacturing software, to achieve greater efficiency, cost reduction, and quality improvement
  • Create and analyze 3D-based model data environments to optimize manufacturing processes and digital work instructions
  • Leverage understanding of materials and automated processes to define operation procedures and build sequences
  • Evaluate equipment and tool performance, including IoT devices, to verify efficiency
  • Investigate problems and deficiencies and initiate corrective actions to support operational excellence
  • Develop statistical process control approaches using factory data
  • Integrate reporting and data analytics solutions for continuous improvement
  • Provide input to product design regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques
  • Guide major projects to completion and potentially function in a leadership role
