Description:
You will be the Manufacturing Engineering Staff - Level 4 for the C‑130J Production & Flight Line team which is responsible for designing and optimizing manufacturing processes across the assembly line, machine centers, and fabrication departments. What You Will Be Doing As the Manufacturing Engineering Staff - Level 4 you will be responsible for creating efficient build procedures, guiding continuous‑improvement projects, and mentoring junior engineers.
Your responsibilities will include:
Design manufacturing processes, layouts, and equipment installations to maximize efficiency and meet production requirements. Develop operation sequences, tooling specifications, and inspection plans, integrating statistical process control where appropriate. Evaluate machine and equipment performance, initiating corrective actions to sustain product quality and schedule. Collaborate with Production and Quality teams to drive defect‑reduction, process‑improvement, and corrective‑action initiatives. Mentor entry‑level manufacturing engineers, providing hands‑on guidance and fostering technical growth. Basic Qualifications:
Experience leading/facilitating teams in a Manufacturing Environment Professional experience in a manufacturing environment working cross functionally with other disciplines including design engineering, manufacturing planning, scheduling, facilities engineering, &/or industrial engineering
Desired Skills:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant Engineering or STEM discipline (e.g. Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial) or equivalent experience Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification Ability to manage priorities, make sound financial decisions and be flexible with schedule to support ever changing production needs Self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment with minimal supervision is required Successful experience in Project Management and/or Change Management Ability to mentor and teach individuals or small groups Excellent writing and communication skills Experience with aircraft manufacturing and assembly processes or fabrication processes Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills including oral, listening, technical writing and team building Proficient with Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Word, Excel, and Power Point)

Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
