A Lean Manufacturing Engineer develops LEAN work methodology within a manufacturing environment, optimizes machining processes to reach optimum product quality, efficiency and process repeatability at the lowest cost. Leads and deploys best practices in the manufacturing process by supporting continuous improvement in various manufacturing processes by reducing the tooling costs and improving the flow of material and setting up cycle times.

Job Description

•As a Contract Logistics Specialist at Kuehne+Nagel, you will manage end-to-end warehousing operations for our customers. By doing so with precision, you not only contribute to the success of your team, but also to the day-to-day operations and success in the warehouse and distribution centres. For example, storing and delivering delicate flowers and fresh ingredients to local stores for everyday lunches and family celebrations. •In this role, you will utilize Lean Six Sigma Knowledge for continuous improvement project execution. The Continuous Improvement Engineer is the most active promoter of the continuous improvement culture across the site.
The right candidate will have a continuous improvement mindset and a tendency towards 5S in the workplace.
•How you create impact
•You will manage the site's Continuous Improvement (CI) program for quality and productivity, including the management of Kaizen activities and Lean Six projects Present project portfolios resulting from the Value Stream Analysis activity Align projects and CI activity to meet both Production System Savings targets and the site's productivity improvement targets. Ensure savings for the site are validated with financial controllers and data integrity is maintained You will support the development of productivity management tools within the site to ensure measurement and monitoring of productivity at process and site levels Support operations in the development of Kuehne and Nagel Excellence levels in the site from Blue through Gold You will work with the National MBB in the development and coaching of the Lean Six Sigma Yellow and Green Belts This position is a leader of process not a people leader role
•What we would like you to bring
•Must be a US citizen Degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent work experience Lean Six Black Belt or Green Belt Led 5-7 completed DMAIC or equivalent projects Continuous Improvement experience for 5 -10 years 5-10 years in a Warehousing or Aerospace environment Project Management experience for 2- 5 years This position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for current or future employer sponsorship.
