Job Description
Job Summary The Design Engineer II is responsible for completing design work for trucks, mid‑size units, and other EZ Liner products. This role independently manages design tasks, reviews work from other engineers, communicates with customers to define project scope, and ensures designs meet EZ Liner standards and manufacturing requirements. Responsibilities Apply EZ Liner design standards and processes to complete product designs independently Identify design elements that do not meet standards and correct them proactively Reviewing other engineering work Improve existing product designs and manufacturing processes Communicate with customers to define project scope and gather technical requirements through meetings, emails, and technical documentation review, transferring results to designs and internal communications Provide technical design support to other departments as needed Oversee or guide engineering personnel on specific tasks or projects Update CAD models, prints, and engineering documentation to reflect design changes Participate in design reviews and incorporate cross‑functional feedback Support continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering department Required Abilities Experience in Manufacturing settings Experience in transportation or mobile equipment industries Strong understanding of design‑for‑manufacturing principles Ability to learn and apply EZ Liner design standards Capable of managing projects from initiation through completion Effective teamwork and collaboration skills Qualification & Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in engineering Proficiency in 3D modeling software (AutoCAD LT, SolidWorks Design, equivalent) Proficiency with MS Office and ERP systems (Global Shop) An Equal Opportunity Employer Pre-Employment Drug Testing Required.
