  • First Shift Job Summary Are you the type of person who likes to make an impact by solving technical problems in manufacturing?
In this role you will work with a team of engineers and engineering technicians to help drive production improvements. We're looking for an engineering intern who wants to engage with operations team members, equipment, and data to help drive improvements in manufacturing. What You'll Do 1. Complete interview and assessment to match your strengths and aptitude to where you will make the biggest impact between our machine shop, welding, weld robotics, paint, assembly engineering, and systems/data teams. 2. Learn and understand the job from the operators' perspective and then help determine improvements you can drive to existing processes and equipment. 3. Work with a team to implement equipment into manufacturing. 4. Work with a team to determine manufacturing data to display that helps improve manufacturing. 5. Work with a team on research and development of future equipment, processes, and data. What We're Looking For
  • Current student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Desire to dig in and understand the technical details of manufacturing processes including safety, process capability, manufacturing data, capacity planning, and manufacturing flow.
  • Prior experience implementing manufacturing equipment, making parts out of steel in manufacturing, continuous improvement, capital justification, managing capital projects, technology transfer, and supporting existing manufacturing cells, preferred but not required.
  • Previous internship is a plus but not required. Travel
  • Occasional travel is expected of this position.
Work Location ONSITE:
A team member's day-to-day work is best done on a Vermeer campus. If work content can be occasionally completed at an offsite location, discuss potential arrangements with your manager.
