• 3:30 PM) within Tractor Operations in Waterloo, IA, this Product Delivery Process (PDP) role balances shop-floor engagement (~50% of your time on your feet in the factory) with engineering design reviews, tooling alignment, and project execution.

Position Details & Compensation Pay Rate:

Up to $44/hr (W2) .

Location:

100% Onsite at John Deere Waterloo Works

• Tractor Operations ( Waterloo, IA ).

Duration:

2+ Years (Providing excellent contract stability).

Shift & Hours:

1st Shift (7:00 AM

• 3:30 PM, Monday
• Friday, with minimal overtime).

Mobility & Physical:

Core Responsibilities PDP Assembly Engineering:

Support Product Delivery Process (PDP) execution for tractor assembly—evaluating assembly sequences, tooling compatibility, and process readiness for line integration.

Shop-Floor Engineering Support:

Spend ~50% of your time active in the factory supporting operators, troubleshooting assembly methods, and verifying line layouts.

Tooling & Facilities Integration:

Collaborate on tooling design, maintenance, quality controls, and facility updates to optimize assembly line throughput and safety.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Partner daily with shop-floor operators, quality teams, project managers, and plant leadership in a collaborative team setting.

Technical Documentation & CAD:

Leverage 3D CAD modeling software and standard MS Office tools to author documentation, update layouts, and review engineering changes.

Required Qualifications & Technical Skills Education:

Bachelor's degree in an Engineering or Technology discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic, Power Systems, Manufacturing, etc.) or equivalent work experience. Open to Recent Engineering Graduates! (Please include GPA on resume).

Core Skills:

Effective written and verbal communication, analytical problem-solving abilities, and a proven track record of working effectively in team environments.

Domain Knowledge:

Foundational knowledge in one or more core areas: manufacturing engineering, distribution, quality, tool design, maintenance, or facilities.

Software Competency:

Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, OneNote).

Preferred / Standout

Qualifications Prior hands-on engineering experience in a heavy equipment manufacturing or assembly production environment. Proficiency with manufacturing and design software tools: Creo View , AutoCAD , SolidWorks , or SAP . Demonstrated project management and conflict resolution capabilities. Academic coursework or internship experience centered on assembly line optimization, ergonomics, or lean manufacturing principles.
