Manufacturing facility experience Attention to detail Fusion 360 SolidWorks Full Job Description Blac-Rac (a Gamber-Johnson Company) is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to support and improve our manufacturing operations. As a vertically integrated manufacturer, Blac-Rac combines engineering, CNC machining, fabrication, assembly, and production under one roof. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working both at the computer and on the production floor, with responsibility for CNC processes, manufacturing improvements, tooling, fixtures, and design support.

What You'll Do:

Support and improve CNC machining operations, including programming, tooling selection, fixture design, and process/setup optimization. Improve cycle times, quality, throughput, repeatability, and manufacturing efficiency. Troubleshoot production and machining issues and implement sustainable solutions. Develop manufacturing processes for new and existing products. Use CAD software (SolidWorks) to design or modify parts, tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing aids. Partner with Engineering and Production to improve design for manufacturability. Support new product introductions from design through production launch. Conduct root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions. Apply lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles. Create and maintain work instructions, processes, and manufacturing documentation. Evaluate opportunities for automation and new manufacturing technologies. Support ISO 9001 and quality initiatives. Provide hands-on technical support to production team members.

What We're Looking For:

Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience. Manufacturing experience with knowledge of CNC machining, programming, tooling, fixturing, and manufacturing methods. Familiarity with 3-axis Cam Programming Proficiency with CAD software (Fusion 360). Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and tolerances. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Experience with manufacturing process improvement and continuous improvement. Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across Engineering and Production.
