OVERVIEW

The Manufacturing Engineer position develops and implements optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards; recommends and implements improvements to production processes, methods, and controls; coordinates manufacturing launch for new or revised products.
THE POSITION
Create/edit/maintain Engineering documentation such as: CNC Programs Geometry specification data Process documentation Project data analysis and reporting Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and workflows to identify areas that could benefit from changes and improvements. Develop and draft plans for manufacturing procedures. Assist and/or lead Continuous Improvement initiatives including: Cycle time optimization Setup time reduction (SMED) Reducing machine down time Increasing machine efficiencies Prepare product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. Develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors. Assist and/or lead company projects and engineering efforts. Educate, train, and supervise all employees on current manufacturing and workflow processes. Other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU CAN BRING
Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred 2+ years of manufacturing experience required Demonstrated ability and knowledge of: Process development, documentation, and implementation Reducing machine down time Increasing machine efficiencies Project management Experience with Six sigma problem solving tools (i.e. DMAIC) preferred. Knowledge of AutoCAD or SolidWorks. Understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. Problem solver familiar with root cause analysis techniques.
