Sr. Manufacturing Engineer#26-00431
Bolingbrook, IL
All On-site Job Description Responsibilities:
Optimize existing manufacturing techniques, processes, tooling, and machinery to maximize throughput. Identifies optimal tooling for machining. Resolves issues with design, manufacturability, or build sequences. Ensures production-part acceptance and manufacturing readiness. Experience in CNC programming, tool path development, etc... Our machining lines consist primarily of Fuji and Mori Seiki vertical milling and horizontal machining centers Improve OEE and scrap performance on existing production lines Maintains process integrity by developing and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines. Programs and modifies CNC programs on lathes and milling machines. Validate CNC programs on equipment. Works closely with quality control on 1st piece inspections and process improvements to verify that product being produced is in specification and in statistical process control All other duties as assigned.Requirements:
5+ years of experience programming and modifying CNC programs. Knowledge of AutoCAD or Mastercam. Knowledge of machining fixtures (pneumatic and hydraulic). Knowledge in various types of CNC machining equipment and manufacturers. Experience with CNC lathes and CNC milling machines). Concept of statistics and capability studies. Understanding of GD&T and CMM system concepts. Knowledge and understanding of the following, Zoller tool preset and measuring systems various types of carbide inserts, tool holdersEducation:
