JOB DESCRIPTION/TYPICAL TASK BREAKDOWN

Design foundry tooling in Creo software using standards in place and best practices for No-bake molding process with the objective to improve quality and reduce lead time on tooling construction RFQ tooling, Design New Pattern Tooling, resolve casting issues, Re-gate, Simulate, all other tasks as needed.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Interaction with team: Interact with managers on directions and priorities of workflow. Interact with Tool designers and Engineers for tool build, process flow. Interact with Pattern Makers for tool build direction. Team Structure

• Managers, Foundry Tool Designer, Manufacturing Engineer, Programmer, Pattern Makers, Pattern Technicians.

Work environment:

Foundry production setting. Shop floor environment.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Years of experience: 5 years of relevant experiences Degree requirement: Associate or Bachelor.

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS

Foundry Engineer Experience. (Tools Quotation, Casting Scrap defects analysis & resolution, Foundry process knowledge, no-bake process, cold box process) Foundry tooling Design Experience. (Pattern and core boxes, Complex modeling, intuitive knowledge of P/L, offsets, clearances, layout in tool build, no-bake process, cold box process) Creo modeling and flow simulation analysis using SolidCast

DESIRED SKILLS

Strong CAD skills (Creo prefers).
