The ideal candidate will oversee process development, improve operational efficiency, and ensure the highest quality standards across manufacturing lines. This role requires a strong background in industrial engineering, process engineering, and mechanical knowledge, with expertise in robotics, CNC programming, 2D and 3D Schematics, blueprint reading, and continuous improvement methodologies. The Manufacturing Engineer will play a pivotal role in driving innovation, implementing lean manufacturing principles, and maintaining compliance with
ISO 9001
standards. Responsibilities Lead the design, development, and optimization of manufacturing processes for various products, including plastics injection molding and assembly line operations. Conduct root cause analysis to identify production issues and implement effective corrective actions. Develop and maintain project schedules to ensure timely completion of engineering initiatives. Utilize CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Creo to create schematics, layouts, and tooling designs. Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs), robotics, CNC machines, and vision inspection systems to enhance automation. Collaborate with fabrication teams on tooling design, fabrication, and maintenance to improve efficiency and quality. Apply GD&T principles for precise manufacturing tolerances and quality control. Lead continuous improvement projects utilizing lean manufacturing techniques to reduce waste and increase productivity. Develop process documentation including schematics, process flow diagrams, and standard operating procedures. Ensure compliance with industry standards such as
ISO 9001
while maintaining safety protocols within the manufacturing environment. Provide technical guidance on welding, fabrication, tooling design, and assembly processes to cross-functional teams. Support factory experience initiatives by mentoring team members on best practices in industrial equipment operation. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field; advanced degrees or certifications in manufacturing or systems engineering are a plus. Proven experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on process engineering or industrial engineering roles within a manufacturing facility. Extensive knowledge of plastics injection molding processes, robotics programming (including robot integration), CNC programming (CAM), tool design, and fabrication techniques. Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo; experience with Schematics and GD&T is essential. Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies. Hands-on experience with industrial equipment including vision inspection systems, CNC machines, PLCs, welding tools, and automation systems. Mechanical knowledge related to assembly lines, tooling development, fabrication processes, and mechanical engineering concepts. Ability to perform root cause analysis effectively using data-driven approaches. Familiarity with
ISO 9001
standards for quality management systems. Excellent project scheduling skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously. Strong problem-solving skills combined with effective communication abilities.
