This position offers hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, working directly with engineers, maintenance professionals, machinists, and production teams on real-world projects that impact daily operations. $20/hour This co-op is designed to provide practical engineering experience in manufacturing, including: CNC tooling selection and tool sheet development CNC programming and machining processes Designing workholding fixtures and tooling solutions Using CAM software to develop and improve machining operations Creating and modifying 3D models and drawings using CAD software Working with PLC-controlled equipment, sensors, and industrial automation systems Assisting with machine reliability, preventive maintenance, and root cause analysis Troubleshooting manufacturing equipment and processes Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques Engineering documentation and technical work instructions Support engineering and manufacturing improvement projects Create and revise CAD models, drawings, and technical documentation Assist with CNC programming, tooling, and process development Help design fixtures, workholding, and production solutions Analyze production data using Excel and other software tools Assist with equipment troubleshooting and process improvements Follow all plant safety and environmental requirements Improve machining processes and cycle times Design and implement workholding fixtures Assist with CNC programming and tooling improvements Support automation and control system upgrades Analyze equipment downtime and recommend improvements Create CAD models, layouts, and technical documentation Develop process improvements that increase safety, quality, and productivity Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field Available to work approximately 20 hours per week during the school year and up to 40 hours per week during summer and winter breaks Strong problem-solving and organizational skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications Experience with CAD software (Creo preferred) Exposure to CNC machining, manufacturing, or CAM software Previous internship, co-op, or technical work experience Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in manufacturing Gain hands-on manufacturing engineering experience Work alongside experienced engineers and skilled trades professionals Contribute to real projects with measurable impact Build experience that directly supports a future career in engineering
