Job Description:
Role Overview Senior Manufacturing Engineers with expertise in machining and machine building are responsible for designing, building, installing, and optimizing advanced production equipment and processes. They serve as a critical link between design engineering and shop floor execution, ensuring complex designs are translated into high-precision, repeatable manufacturing outcomes.
Key Responsibilities Equipment & Process Development:
Design, assemble, and install manufacturing equipment, tooling, jigs, and fixtures aligned to production requirements.
Operational Excellence & Problem Solving:
Identify and resolve production bottlenecks, quality issues, and machine failures using data-driven approaches such as Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
Process Documentation:
Develop and maintain work instructions, SOPs, and process sheets to standardize operations and ensure consistency.
Supplier & Vendor Collaboration:
Engage with external machine builders and suppliers for equipment procurement, commissioning, and buy-off validation.
CNC Programming & Optimization:
Develop, debug, and optimize CNC programs (3 , 4-, and 5-axis) across milling, turning, and grinding operations to enhance efficiency, cycle time, and precision. Design for Manufacturability (DFM): Review engineering drawings and provide feedback or redesign components to improve manufacturability and cost effectiveness. Core Technical Capabilities Machine building, installation, and commissioning Design for Manufacturability (DFM) Machining process optimization and cycle time reduction Advanced troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis Technical documentation and requirements capture Vendor management and procurement coordination
Technical Expertise Machining:
Deep hands-on experience with CNC machining, cutting tools, feeds/speeds, and metallurgy
Quality & Precision:
Strong knowledge of GD&T and precision measurement tools (CMM, micrometers)
Lean Manufacturing:
Application of 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement methodologies Education & Experience Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering 10+ years of relevant experience in machining, manufacturing engineering, or machine building environments
Professional Skills Technical Documentation:
High proficiency in creating structured engineering and process documentation
Digital Tools:
Strong working knowledge of
Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Power BI, and Point Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and suppliers
