La Salle, IL (Relocation Assistance Available) No Sponsorship at this time A respected and growing precision machining manufacturer is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead process improvements, optimize CNC machining operations, and drive manufacturing excellence across a high-volume production environment. Strong long-term career growth potential What You'll Be Doing Lead continuous improvement initiatives across machining operations Optimize CNC machining processes, tooling, cycle times, and production flow Support new product launches and manufacturing readiness Analyze production data to identify waste reduction and efficiency gains Develop work instructions, SOPs, and process documentation Partner with Sales, Engineering, Quality, and Production teams Evaluate new equipment, automation, and machining technologies Troubleshoot production challenges and implement long-term solutions Ensure compliance with quality standards and customer expectations What We're Looking For 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in CNC machining environments Strong background in CNC programming, machining operations, and process optimization Experience with horizontal machining centers, turning centers, or automated machining systems preferred Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge Lean manufacturing / continuous improvement mindset Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production setting Strong communication and cross-functional leadership skills Engineering degree preferred (or equivalent experience) Ideal Background Candidates from precision machining, aerospace, defense, industrial equipment, castings, or OEM manufacturing environments are highly encouraged to apply.
