full-time Job Overview The Manufacturing Engineer will play a critical role in supporting the vehicle launch within General Assembly. This position is responsible for ensuring manufacturing readiness, validating new processes and equipment, and driving seamless integration of launch content into a high?volume production environment. The ideal candidate brings deep automotive experience, industrial engineering capability, and a proven track record supporting major vehicle launches from concept through acceptance. Must?



Have Qualifications 5-7+ years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer Automotive industry background OR a fast paced manufacturing assembly producgtion environment Experience bringing in new tooling or equipment for line update and communicating with suppliers/vendors Strong background in General Assembly operations , including tooling, process flow, and workstation design. Demonstrated experience supporting vehicle/product launches , including validation, integration, commissioning, and acceptance of new equipment and processes Key Responsibilities Lead manufacturing engineering activities for the vehicle launch ensuring all systems, tooling, and processes meet safety, quality, and throughput targets. Develop, review, and optimize assembly processes for high?volume production, including line balance, workstation design, and ergonomic considerations. Support equipment integration, commissioning, and acceptance, working closely with controls engineers, maintenance, and external suppliers. Review and troubleshoot PLC logic to support equipment functionality, process flow, and launch readiness. Validate new tooling, fixtures, and automation systems; ensure compliance with GM standards and manufacturing requirements. Lead issue resolution during launch phases, including root?cause analysis, corrective actions, and cross?functional coordination. Support build events, trials, and pilot operations, ensuring process capability and product quality prior to ramp?up. Maintain documentation including PFMEAs, process sheets, standard work, and validation reports. Collaborate with product engineering, quality, operations, and program teams to ensure smooth integration of design changes and launch deliverables. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, and efficiency throughout General Assembly.
