Role Description:
This position is responsible for interpreting customers' furniture concepts and specifications to design and draw products for manufacturability and meet customer requirements.
Responsibilities:
Interpret customer specifications and develop manufacturable hospitality furniture designs Create and revise 3D models, 2D shop drawings, sketches, and supporting documentation Collaborating with Project Managers, Product Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and customers Apply value engineering (VE) and design for manufacturability (DFM) principles Ensure products meet customer expectations, ADA requirements, applicable codes, and quality standards Specify hardware, materials, sourced components, finishes, and installation details Create stone drawings and documentation for sourced products as required Review drawings for accuracy and completeness prior to release Support product testing, installation reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives Assist team members in resolving design challenges and meeting project timelines Maintain project documentation including model logs and project lists Skills to

Educational / Experience BS (4-year degree) in Engineering, Engineering Technology or related science preferred, but not required 3-5 years of experience in engineering or similar role and demonstrated significant contributions
