Role:
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for bridging product design and production execution by developing, optimizing, and maintaining efficient manufacturing processes. This role collaborates cross-functionally with operations, quality, purchasing and design teams to ensure products are manufacturable, cost-effective, and scalable while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. 3+ years of manufacturing, industrial, or mechanical engineering experience is preferred. Experience developing BOMs, routings and manufacturing documents. Knowledge of manufacturing processes including electronics, welding, assembly, plastics, or finishing. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with new product introduction (NPI) processes in a manufacturing setting. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma. Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and manufacturing simulation tools. Strong Communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Responsibilities:
Create and maintain manufacturing process flows, routings and work instructions. Design and implement manufacturing process layouts and workflows to support new product introductions and existing production lines. Establish labor standards and process cycle lines. Apply statistical process control (SPC) methods to monitor and improve manufacturing processes and ensure consistent product quality. Lead continuous improvement projects focused on reducing waste, minimizing downtime, Kaizen activities and root cause analysis. Troubleshoot manufacturing and assembly issues on production floor. Support supplier and make-vs-buy evaluations. Assist with quality documentation including FEM, control plans, and inspections criteria. .
