Work Environment:

This position is based full-time at the Shelbyville, IN manufacturing facility, with regular presence required on the production floor across all shifts, including periodic off-shift, weekend, and holiday coverage to support a 24/7 operation. The plant environment includes exposure to manufacturing conditions typical of automotive glass processing, including heat (tempering/furnace areas), noise, glass handling, forklift and overhead crane traffic, and use of personal protective equipment (safety glasses, hearing protection, cut-resistant gloves, steel-toed footwear) in designated areas. The role requires the physical ability to walk, stand, and move throughout the facility for extended periods, climb stairs/platforms, and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs. Office time is spent in a standard plant administration setting.

Primary Duties:

Lead the team in utilizing the 10 Key Safety Leadership Behaviors to Do Right through actions in safely producing quality parts at world class yields. Provide a safe and healthy working environment implementing improvement systems to eliminate any work-related injuries and ensuring all employees understand all safety requirements. Drive preventive actions for resolution. Translate the customer requirements into production specifications, control plans, and process FMEAs. Provide direction and development for hourly Auditor teams Ability to complete Internal Auditor training and complete and communicate internal audit findings. Lead/Support certification audits including but not limited to

TS/ISO, GM

BIQS and Ford Q1 Conduct weekly quality improvement meetings. Drive PDCA processes with other resource groups. Travel to customer locations to resolve quality concerns. Act as customer liaison to resolve quality issues. Assist in ensuring the success of the first production trials. Lead and monitor PPM improvement efforts for new and existing parts. Lead corrective action tracking and activities for customer complaints and audits.

Qualifications Required:

Bachelor's degree (engineering preferred) Minimum 3-5 years related manufacturing/quality experience Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to effectively interact with all levels Excellent communication and human relation skills. High energy, self-starting individual with ability to balance multiple priorities simultaneously. Ability to travel. Experience with APQP (CP, FMEA, process documentation (inc. revision control)

Qualifications Desired :

Experience with OEM customer Quality systems (i.e. GM, Chrysler, Honda, Toyota, Nissan) Blackbelt/Greenbelt certification Program management experience Certified TS16949 auditor
