Job Description

Manufacturing Engineer Salina, KS Great Plains Manufacturing in Salina, KS is seeking an energetic, confident and detail-oriented person to join our team as a Manufacturing Engineer. This is an on-site position at the Salina facility. This position typically works Monday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Systematically drive actions and accountability to required tasks and deliverables to the predetermined program timeline. Drive multi - disciplinary groups (Production, Engineering, Purchasing, Material control, Quality, Manufacturing engineering) to meet critical milestone deadlines. Document open issues, actions, owners and dates. Drive open issues to closure to accommodate company schedules. Identify open issues, actions, owners and dates to review with leadership. Create and maintain detailed schedules and routinely report progress/concerns to management. Manage design review process, production preparation, production trials, etc. Communicate effectively and foster teamwork. Follow all Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed safety and protective equipment. Other duties may be assigned that require other qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from four-year college or university; or minimum 2 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Functional discipline or operational experience in a manufacturing setting Must have solid problem-solving skills Overall understanding of manufacturing timelines; project management experience is a plus Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office Experience in a manufacturing environment with Fabrication, Weld, Paint and Assembly production processes is helpful Great Plains Manufacturing, headquartered in Salina, KS, is a proud subsidiary of the Kubota Corporation.
