Job Description
Additional projects may include cobots and AMR/automated material handling. Need is driven by ongoing automation and manufacturing improvement project work. A self-motivated, independent engineer who can take ownership of assigned tasks and develop and implement solutions with minimal supervision. . Configure and implement Keyence and Matrox camera systems and support FANUC vision. Partner with Quality to identify quality issues and develop error-proofing solutions. Support cobot and AMR/automated material-handling projects as needed. On-site role with no routine travel; occasional go-and-see visits may occur. Bachelor's degree in a technical field. 8-10 years of experience preferred, ideally as a Controls Engineer. Strong industrial vision and camera experience. GM Global Common Controls knowledge/experience. Union manufacturing environment experience is preferred, not required. Stack-ranked by importance 1 Controls Global Common Experience (GCCX) 2 Keyence Vision Systems 3 FANUC cobot integration
