Analog Devices Federal LLC is looking for an experienced Development Process Engineer responsible for developing processes in the manufacture of complex microwave and millimeter wave electronics. As an Analog Devices Process Engineer, you will join a team that is responsible for developing and optimizing assembly manufacturing processes to achieve the output, quality, and cost goals of the organization. Process Engineers are responsible for monitoring and controlling component and module product performance; managing tool productivity and maintenance; conducting data analysis to improve processes. This is a fully on-site hands-on position that requires a strong ability to work on a suite of complex automated and manual manufacturing equipment. This position will focus highly with backend processing (seam seal, laser seal, packaging operations, etc.) Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Focusing on developing processes and product quality, yield, cost, and performance in the Engineering Proto-Type area for microelectronic components & modules. Develop, sustain, and optimize seam sealing and back‑end assembly processes, with primary concentration on laser/resistance seam sealing, reflow sealing, leak test, and packaging operations. Standardizing manufacturing processes and procedures in computer-aided manufacturing system (MES) Troubleshooting Process and Equipment manufacturing issues and implementing robust corrective actions Collaborate cross-functionally with Design, Quality, Operations, Sustaining and Planning to ensure on-time manufacturing readiness and issue resolution Lead or contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on throughput, yield, and process robustness. Qualify new tools for production, including documentation, training, and certification of operators/technicians and ensure product compliance with industry and internal standards. Programming of computer-controlled equipment and vision recognition systems. Support daily production through troubleshooting equipment issues, resolving yield excursions, and driving root‑cause and corrective actions.
Qualifications:
U.S. Citizen (Current clearance holder a plus) BS/MS in Electrical/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering, Physics, Material Science, or related technical discipline 5+ years Industry experience in electronics assembly and manufacturing including laser/resistance seam sealing, reflow sealing, leak test, lead forming, and surface mount technologies Coursework in statistics and other related subjects Prior experience working in a semiconductor cleanroom environment. Strong analytical mind with problem solving skills. Understanding and knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of Experiments (DOE). Ability to work effectively and efficiently with diverse teams; customers; internal and external partners. Highly motivated and is passionate about the job.
