Opportunity Overview The Test Process Engineer in NPI Process Engineering will support hands-on production testing, test strategy development, and manufacturing readiness for electronic devices from pilot production through high-volume production transitions. Perform hands-on production testing of electronic devices, validating processes and products, including practical work with laser equipment and optical components. Design and implement test strategies spanning module, sub-assembly, and full system-level testing to support test development and manufacturing readiness through pilot and high-volume production transitions. Develop, maintain, and scale test fixtures, interfaces, hardware tooling, and automation solutions, while applying DfX principles throughout the product lifecycle. Collaborate cross-functionally with Senior Process Engineers, Pilot Production and Manufacturing Engineers, Design, Software Engineering, Operations, and Contract Manufacturers to solve complex problems and deploy scalable test processes. Apply data-driven methods, including SPC, Cpk, and dashboards, to interpret, analyze, and improve test health and coverage. Document test processes and analyses, support manufacturing ramps through training and build/floor support, and lead failure analysis and root cause/corrective action using structured problem-solving techniques. B.S. in Electronic, Optical, or Mechanical Engineering with 2+ years of test development experience, or M.S. in Electronic, Optical, or Mechanical Engineering. Understanding of laser operation principles, including emission, absorption, and scattering, and ability to implement safety protocols to protect against laser hazards; experience in photonics is a plus. Demonstrated ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, datasheets, and specification documents. Experience with common measurement instruments, including signal generators and spectrum or network analyzers. Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, with excellent problem-solving skills. Team-oriented approach with the ability to maintain professional decorum with peers in a new product/engineering environment with variable priorities. Ability for domestic or international travel is required. Familiarity with at least one common coding or scripting language, such as Python, MATLAB, or Java, and system integration, debug, and test experience are desirable. Compensation:
The base salary range for this role is $76,600 - $122,500. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.Incentive Plan:
