• Aerospace / Aviation / Defense Position Summary Seeking a senior engineering leader with extensive experience transitioning development programs into low-rate production within the aerospace or defense industry.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise leading large cross-functional engineering organizations, managing program execution, and delivering programs on budget and schedule. Required Qualifications Bachelor s Degree required Active DoD Secret Clearance OR U.S. Citizenship required 15+ years of experience transitioning development programs into low-rate production Experience leading large engineering organizations and cross-functional teams (100+ team members preferred) Strong background in: Engineering Program Execution Cost, Schedule & Technical Management Earned Value Management (EVM) Control Account Management (CAM) Risk & Opportunity Management Experience with: Bid & Proposal activities Technical Volume Writing BOE approvals Program Baselining WBS, IMS, Work Packages & Budgets Strong understanding of disciplined Systems Engineering Processes Experience presenting technical briefings to executive leadership and customers Preferred Qualifications Design for Manufacturability (DfM) / Design for Excellence (DfX) Undersea / Subsea Systems experience Optical Systems experience Fixed-price DoD development program experience International Defense Program execution Functional Engineering Management experience MBSE (Model Based Systems Engineering) experience Responsibilities Lead engineering organizations supporting development-to-production program transitions Manage technical, cost, schedule, and risk performance across programs Oversee systems engineering and manufacturing integration activities Support proposal development, program planning, and execution strategies Drive program baseline development including WBS, IMS, and budget management Lead technical reviews and customer presentations Build, develop, and mentor high-performing engineering teams Ensure successful delivery of programs on schedule and within budget Ideal Candidate Candidate should have a proven background leading large engineering teams while successfully executing complex aerospace or defense programs from development through production.
