The Engineering Technician will directly contribute to internal manufacturing of robotic systems to support a vast fulfillment network. This position offers the opportunity to work in an innovative and challenging environment with an intelligent and motivated group of people.Responsibilities:
Act as an ambassador for safety within the team and promote safe work practices across the site. Perform duties assigned by and under the supervision of a project manager or engineer. Serve as the technical consultant for capital projects within the process engineering team. Install, maintain, and troubleshoot all manufacturing systems, including automated material handling equipment, conveyance, packaging machines, and other production equipment. Install, maintain, and troubleshoot controls components including sensors, scanners, motor starters, relays, and other devices. Utilize diagnostic tools such as multimeters and vendor-specific debug tools to support troubleshooting tasks. Work with PLCs and PLC programs, including troubleshooting ladder logic and components. Develop and deliver preventive maintenance programs. Create process documents and work instructions using schematics and engineering drawings.Essential Skills:
Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of manufacturing, R D, and facility equipment. Solid foundational knowledge of PLC-based control systems, preferably Allen-Bradley Rockwell. Experience in electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic diagnosis and troubleshooting of robotic and other machines. Ability to document startup processes and designs of mechanical and electrical systems. Capable of analyzing equipment installation practices and offering solutions to improve installation schedules. Effective interpersonal, team, prioritization, and communication skills. Basic computer proficiency, including data entry and Microsoft Office programs.Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Robotic programming experience (Fanuc, ABB, etc.). Fabrication and machining experience in a development environment. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing tools, including 5S and Kaizen. Experience using systems for data collection and quality control.Work Environment:
This is a fully onsite role in a manufacturing and production setting with a standard weekday schedule (1st shift) and occasional overtime. The work environment is collaborative and team-oriented, involving engineers, technicians, and production teams. It is a fast-paced environment focused on safety, innovation, and continuous improvement. There is potential for extension or long-term conversion based on performance. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Worcester, MA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
