Job Description

Job Title:
Manufacturing Engineer Job Description Support new product introductions, drive process improvements, and optimize manufacturing operations within a growing production environment. This individual will play a key role in ensuring successful product launches while improving quality, efficiency, and overall manufacturing performance. Responsibilities Lead and support new product introduction and launch activities from planning through production implementation. Develop, implement, and improve manufacturing methods, processes, and workflows. Analyze production data and operational performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement. Lead troubleshooting efforts and root cause analysis activities to resolve manufacturing issues. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, safety, and cost reduction. Collaborate with engineering, quality, production, maintenance, and leadership teams to improve operational performance. Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, process instructions, and production standards. Support the implementation of new equipment, tooling, technologies, and manufacturing processes. Utilize ERP systems to support production planning, manufacturing data, and process management. Provide technical support and training to manufacturing personnel as needed. Essential Skills 3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in a mechanical product manufacturing environment (
ISO:
9001 certified). Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering field. Experience utilizing 3D CAD software supporting tooling, fixtures, equipment, and process implementation. Experience working with ERP or MRP systems. Demonstrated success leading process improvement, lean manufacturing, or operational excellence initiatives. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with Solidworks Experience in metal stamping, fabrication, or similar processes Knowledge of IATF or ISO standards. Work Environment This role operates Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm, with very little overtime expected. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of South Bend, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $36.06 - $48.08/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
