Duties:
Responsible for design, integration and improvement of manufacturing systems; develop and design the assembly process, to ensure optimal utilization and capacity of equipment; install and validate new equipment and processes; develop work content, cell layout, parts presentation, and material flow for assembly process; train production employees and develop operator work instructions; meet requirements, and estimate, track, and implement engineering changes; identify areas of opportunity and develop local resources to implement changes; lead team in lean workshops and Kaizen continuous improvement activities, and lead problem solving teams to reduce cost of nonquality; troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues, develop planned maintenance routines, and identify spare part requirements; and develop PFD and PFMEA.
Requirements:
Bachelor Degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering, or closely related Engineering field of study, or equivalent foreign degree. 3 years of experience as a Manufacturing, Industrial, Maintenance, or Mechanical Engineer in automotive component manufacturing industry. Must have 3 years of work experience with each of the following: Logic Controllers (PLC), and Human/Machine Interfaces (HMI) using Allen Bradley or Siemens software; AutoCAD and SolidWorks 2D and 3D solid modeling; management of bill of materials using SAP; tool and fixture design; interpretation and application of specifications on engineering drawings, and manufacturing processes; and Process Failure Mode and Effects.
