Job Description

Job Responsibilities Identifies, plans, and implements activities designed to reduce costs while improving quality, safety, and delivery methods. Implements and drives continuous improvement activities through the application of change management and best practices. Develops Value Stream Mapping (VSM) plans for assigned facilities. Builds Kaizen plans and roadmaps for identified areas of opportunity. Supports regular President's Kaizen events. Develops corrective action plans based on Lean assessments. Upholds cost reduction programs to achieve annual operational savings objectives. Trains colleagues on best practices for Lean techniques and methodologies. Serves as subject matter expert. Monitors and audits key performance indicators (KPI's) to ensure data is valid and accurate and makes recommendations for root cause problem-solving actions. Performs other duties as assigned. Job Skills Requirements Ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to clearly communicate project performance and results to Management and prepare associated presentations as needed. Proficient in facilitating consensus among diverse viewpoints within a group, even amidst differing opinions. Demonstrated track record of thriving in team environments and strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build rapport. Educational Requirements Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent experience required. Experience Requirements Three years of engineering experience required. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Strong background in Lean manufacturing and engineering.
