Job Description

•THIS
ROLE IS 5 DAYS A WEEK IN-PERSON, IN FARMINGTON HILLS, MICHIGAN
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs new and revised product design using AutoCAD Prepares completed layouts for final product design Determines scale, performs complex mathematical calculations and prepares layouts for detailing Implements required changes to resolve field problems and improve product performance and reliability Assists in analysis of problem areas and recommends solutions Makes decisions on the suitability of the design using knowledge of characteristics of specified product materials and production processes Generates electrical wiring and mechanical diagrams from customer specifications and component data sheets Creates new part numbers and generates Bill of Materials Designs using lean and design for manufacturing concepts Interface with manufacturing and outsource vendors to build product
COMPETENCIES/REQUIRED SKILLS
Thorough knowledge of all drafting techniques and engineering terminology is needed Mechanical aptitude and ability to compute complex and highly statistical specifications Basic knowledge of electrical designs Proficient Word, Excel, & PowerPoint Working knowledge of 3-D CAD and MRP systems
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
BSEE, BSME, BSIE, or equivalent required

Pay:
$65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
