Job Description The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and optimizing production processes to ensure they meet quality, safety, and throughput targets. The role requires close collaboration with design, production, quality, and maintenance teams to drive continuous improvement Key Responsibilities- Expertise in EBOM to MBOM and Standard Work Instructions creation.
- Strandise existing manufacturing processes and equipment setup and assembly & Weldments operations.
- Expertise in weldments and its operational Procedures.
- Collaborate with design engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure WIs reflect current best practices and product specifications.
- Initiate, review, and process Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) in PLM/ERP systems
- Design and implement process improvements, including layout changes, parameter tuning, and new work instructions.
- Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify bottlenecks, waste, and improvement opportunities.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by streamlining ECO workflows and documentation practices.

- Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) & process flow diagrams.
- Support introduction of new products / processes into production and ensure smooth ramp up.
- Audit shop-floor adherence to WIs and recommend corrective actions when deviations occur
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as yield, cycle time, OEE, and defect rates; prepare reports for management.
- Enforce compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards (e.g., ISO or relevant sector norms).
- Lead / participate in Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen initiatives to reduce waste and improve productivity. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Chemical / Industrial / Production Engineering (or related field).
- 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing / process engineering role (can be adjusted by level).
- Familiarity with Work Instructions,process mapping, PFMEA, control plans/
- Proficient in CAD / process simulation tools (AutoCAD, Tecnomatix, SAP VE, or similar, as per your domain).
- Knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma principles is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills; ability to work in cross functional teams.
